About the Role?

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst with at least 1 year of experience to join our team. This role involves analyzing data from Hivel’s platform, backend systems, and external tools (e.g., Excel sheets) to identify trends and deliver insights reports for engineering leaders. The ideal candidate has a passion for data-driven decision-making, strong analytical abilities, and a knack for turning raw data into actionable and visually compelling insights.

Key Responsibilities :

• Analyze engineering performance data from Hivel’s platform, backend databases, and Excel sheets to uncover trends and actionable insights.
• Create and deliver insights reports tailored for engineering leaders, highlighting team performance and improvement opportunities.
• Use basic SQL to query and extract data from backend systems to complement platform analytics.
• Organize and process data in Excel to prepare for analysis and visualization.
• Design and create visually appealing graphs, charts, and dashboards to present data effectively.
• Work closely with the customer success team and stakeholders to understand their objectives and ensure reports meet their needs.

What you'll need?

• 1+ year of experience in data analysis or a related role.
• Proficiency in basic SQL for querying and manipulating data.
• Strong Python scripting skills for data analysis.
• Strong skills in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data organization.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) or creating custom visualizations in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets.
• Strong communication skills to convey findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• A keen eye for detail and accuracy in data handling and reporting.
• Self-driven with the ability to manage tasks independently and prioritize effectively.
• Brownie points if you have a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
